As you learned from the last blog, 3DEXPERIENCE platform enables faster creation and collaboration, leading to more competitive products.
Even when your team is spread out geographically, 3DEXPERIENCE platform users can collaborate with each other on one single platform.
The FCS is not mandatory, but for optimal file access performance, we recommend deploying a the FCS at each site.
That’s interesting. As I mentioned in last blog, We have a headquarters in Japan and another site in Thailand. So, collaboration across borders is necessary.
Let me explain more about the FCS .
- FCS stands for “File Collaboration Server”.
- The FCS is used to synchronize data with the 3DEXPERIENCE main server while optimizing file access performance.

Deply the FCS at their Factory and thier Office in Thailand.
=> Japan and Thailand sites can work efficiently on the single 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Does the FCS require as a high specification as the 3DEXPERIENCE main server?
Compare to the 3DEXPERIENCE main server, the FCS doesn’t require a higher specification.
